Christian Mendoza is a couturier whose work celebrates the strength, elegance, and individuality of women through the timeless art of couture.

Born and raised in Southern California, Christian’s love for fashion was nurtured at home, inspired by his glamorous mother a poised and elegant woman who designed and made her own dresses. She owned multiple bridal shops and ran her own collection and manufacturing company, D’Lamore of California, during the 1970s and 1980s. As a child, Christian spent countless hours in her atelier, captivated by the satin, lace, and the meticulous process of creating exquisite bridal gowns. That early exposure sparked a lifelong passion for beauty, craftsmanship, and storytelling through garments.

He went on to study at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and opened his first private atelier in Los Angeles while still honing his craft. There, he began creating one-of-a-kind bespoke pieces, each treated as a wearable piece of art. After years of establishing his name in the Los Angeles fashion scene, Christian moved to the East Coast to deepen his experience, joining teams at some of the world’s most prestigious American, French, and Italian fashion houses, including Oscar de la Renta, Marchesa, J. Mendel, Tom Ford, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, and Fendi. Working alongside master artisans, he refined his technical skill and creative vision, contributing to designs worn at iconic events such as Met Gala and The Academy Awards.

After years of experience in high fashion, Christian felt a calling to return to his roots in bridal. Inspired by the memories of his mother’s atelier and the magic of his earliest experiences, he began designing bridal gowns that embodied his personal vision graceful, sensual, and evocative of natural movement. Particularly drawn to the destination bride, Christian designs with the elements in mind wind, light, and the quiet poetry of nature all reflected in the fluidity and emotion of his silhouettes.
